Main Street WASHINGTON March 3, 2009 7:00 pm AGENDA STUDY SESSION (aD- 6:00 PM City of Auburn Code Update Project- Assistant Director Kevin Snyder and Senior Planner Chris Andersen will discuss with the Commission, the current status and key policy issues for the City of Auburn Code Update Project addressing amendments to the City's Development Code and Engineering Standards. REGULAR MEETING (aD- 7:00 PM 1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES • February 3, 2008 II. PUBLIC COMMENT • Comment from the audience on any item not scheduled for public hearing III. PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT • Update on Planning Department activities • Staff to present drawing of the new annex building IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS Case Number ZOA09-0001: Amendment to Auburn Citv Code The proposal amends the Auburn City Code Chapters 18.22, 18.50, and 18.52 related to residential conversions within the Residential Office (RO) zone. The amendments propose changes related to development standards, landscaping, and parking. Case Number ZOA09-0002: Amendment to Auburn Citv Code The proposal amends the Auburn City Code Chapter 18.29 related to exemptions for existing structures within the Downtown Urban Center (DUC) zone. V. OTHER BUSINESS/DISCUSSION • Shoreline Master Program update - Kelly McLain Aardal VI. ADJOURNMENT The City of Auburn Planning Commission is an eight member advisory body that provides recommendations to the Auburn City Council on the preparation of and amendments to land use plans and related codes such as zoning. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Actions taken by the Planning Commission are not final decisions; they are in the form of recommendations to the City Council who must ultimately make the final decision.
