APPROVAL OF MINUTES • No meeting minutes for approval. II. PUBLIC COMMENT • Comment from the audience on any item not scheduled for public hearing III. PLANNING DEPARTMENT REPORT • Update on Planning Department activities IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS Amendments to Title 17 (Subdivisions) and Title 18 (Zonina) of the Auburn Citv Code Al CC) The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on the Phase 1 portion of the City of Auburn Code Update Project comprised of: A. Amendments to Title 17 (Subdivisions) of the Auburn City Code: Proposed amendments to Title 17 (Subdivisions) of the Auburn City Code that would renumber and rename chapters, relocate certain standards and regulations, update standards and regulations and add new Chapters 17.00 (User Guide), Chapter 17.08 (Boundary Line Eliminations), Chapter 17.16 (Neighborhood Circulation Plan), Chapter 17.24 (Binding Site Plans) and Chapter 17.26 (Cluster Subdivisions). B. Amendments to Title 18 (Zoning) of the Auburn City Code: Proposed amendments to Title 18 (Zoning) of the Auburn City Code that would renumber and rename chapters, relocate certain standards and regulations, update standards and regulations and add new Chapters 18.00 (User Guide), Chapter 18.25 (Infill Development Standards), Chapter 18.49 (Flexible Development Standards) and Chapter 18.51 (Density Recognition). Please note that because of the amount of material being considered during the public hearing process, the Planning Commission may consider continuation of the May 5, 2009 public hearing to May 7, 2009. A positive decision to continue the public hearing will require a motion vote of the Planning Commission. - V. OTHER BUSINESS/DISCUSSION • No other business/discussion items. VI. ADJOURNMENT The City of Auburn Planning Commission is an eight member advisory body that provides recommendations to the Auburn City Council on the preparation of and amendments to land use plans and related codes such as zoning. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Actions taken by the Planning Commission are not final decisions; they are in the form of recommendations to the City Council who must ultimately make the final decision.
