Associates, Inc. for preliminary design services for Project C411A, Academy Drive SE Geotechnical
Investigation.
Backqround Summary:
Academy Drive SE between SE Green Valley Road and 32nd Street SE is a 24-foot wide roadway
providing access between the Academy area, above, down a steep incline to the Green River Valley,
below. Landslide and road movement at several locations have caused the roadway to be closed to
regular and emergency vehicle access for several years.
Staff has selected Zipper Zeman Associates, Inc. to complete a geotechnical study consisting of site
investigation, recommendation of slope stabilization, and a report of the findings. The anticipated costs
for professional services is $80,000.
