Presentation of Marketing Plan for BRAVO! Season Lori Patrick distributed an outline of the marketing plan for BRAVO! New marketing strategies this year include balloons imprinted with the BRAVO! logo and a buy-one- ticket-get-one-free coupon in the South Puget Sound 2002 Entertainment Book. The South County Journal and KING FM have both renewed their media sponsorships. Fall BRAVO! events were listed in area newspapers' Fall Entertainment Guides, and the Lakeland Hills neighborhood newsletter devoted a full page to BRAVO! listings. BRAVO! will participate in King County's Waste Free Holiday program again this year. The county-wide holiday media blitz encourages people to give experiences, particularly in the arts, instead of gift items. Susan Sagawa said due to a dip in editorial coverage to the first performance by Puget Sound Musical Theatre (PSMT), the commission will have to put a heavier focus on advertising. Two ads announcing PSMT's Oct. 6 performance will appear in the South County Journal. One ad is free through the paper's media sponsorship. The commission discussed ways to build audience for the opening PSMT show, including a mailing to PSMT supporters and promoting the event at this weekend's Harmony Kings and Jet Cities Chorus performances at Auburn Performing Arts Center. Commissioner Pam Smith will plug BRAVO! in her e-mail newsletter; Commissioner Kristen Brock will continue to tout BRAVO! at PTA meetings, and Commissioner Anne (more) Auburn Arts Commission Minutes Page 2 Baunach will continue to spread the word at Green River Community College. Chair Steve LePenske initiated a discussion on the possibility of developing an e-mail listserve of BRAVO! subscribers in the future. The purpose of the e-mail would be for communication only, not sales. It's one way to keep BRAVO! subscribers informed. Susan invited commissioners to introduce BRAVO! performances.
