CALL TO ORDER
The me~ting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. Those in attendance were Mayor Booth,
Committee Chairman Rich Wagner, and Council/Committee member Don Kurle.
Council/Committee member Pat Bums was excused ~om this meeting. Staff in attendance were
Public Works Director Frank A. Curfie, City Engineer Dennis Dowdy, Transportation Planner
Nick Afzali, Utilities Engineer Dwight Holobaugh, Trs~ic Engineer Steve Mullen and Finance
Director Vic Thompson. Guest in attendance was Alan E. Harger of WSDOT, Transit, Research
and Intermodal Planning.
ISSUES
A. ORDINANCE NO. 4694 AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE PERTAINING
TO SEWER RATES
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy presented Ordinance No. 4694 to incorporate the
Metro rate fee in the non-residential customer rates; effective August I, 1994.
Being satisfied with the answer, the decision was made to recommend approval to
the Council at their August 15, 1994 meeting.
B. RESOLUTION NO. 2550, CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
ECONOMIC AND ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR A CORROSION
CONTROL STUDY
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy introduced Resolution No. 2550, Phase I of a
required assessment for corrosion control.
Being satisfied with the answer the decision was made to recommend approval to
the Council at their August 15, 1994 meeting.
C. RESOLUTION NO. 2551 INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN AUBURN
AND BONNEY LAKE
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy explained the Interlocal Agreement applicable to two
parcels of land on Kersey Way.
Being satisfied with the answer, the decision was made to recommend approval to
the Council at their August 15, 1994 meeting.

RESPONSIBLE BIDDER
C. AWARD BID FOR PR 547, 1994 CHANNELIZATION PROGRAM TO
THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE BIDDER
D. UTILITY BILL ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCOUNT #2.31,3880 IN THE
AMOUNT OF SEVEN HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE DOLLARS AND THIRTY-
THREE CENTS ($789.33), aCCOUNT #3.49.0420 IN THE AMOUNT
OF FOUR HUNDRED SIXTY-FIVE DOLLAR AND SIXTY-THREE CENTS
($465.63), AND TO ACCOUNT #4.49.2060 IN THE AMOUNT OF
TWO HUNDRED FOUR DOLLARS AND EIGHTEEN CENTS ($204.18)
The Committee recommended approval of the above Consent items A through D
to the Council at their August 15, 1994 meeting.
INFORMATION OR DISCUSSION
A A. A PRESENTATION BY THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION ON INTERSTATE COMMUTER RAIL
Alan E. Harger, WSDOT, Rail Branch, presented a video and asked for the City's
support in the form of resolution.
The decision was made to present the resolution at the first Public Works meeting
in September.
B. ENUMCLAW PLATEAU SEWER CONNECTION AGREEMENT
City Engineer Dennis Dowdy gave a brief overview of the status of the Connection
Agreement with the Mucideshoot Tribe, the City of Auburn, EPA and the Health
Service.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no fiarther business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 6:50
p.m.
