AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ANNEXING TO
THE CITY A 22.5 ACRE PARCEL OF LAND LOCATED NEXT TO THE
SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE AUBURN GOLF COURSE, AND LOCATED
ALONG THE GREEN RIVER ROAD
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 35A.14 RCW, the owners of
more than 60% percent of value according to the assessed valuation for
general taxation of certain lands in King County, Washington, and more
particularly described in Section 1 of this Ordinance, filed their petition with the
City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington, petitioning to have annexed to
o the City of Auburn the said described land; and

WHEREAS, the notice of intention to annex was filed with the King

County Boundary Review Board, and was approved by the Boundary Review
Board attached as Exhibit "1 "; and
WHEREAS, it appears to the City of Auburn, that said annexation meets
the requirements specified by law; the procedure for the filing with the City of
Auburn by the requisite number of property owners of their notice of intention to
commence annexation proceedings, to and including the consideration of the

passage of this ordinance also meets the requirements, specified by law; and
the lands proposed to be annexed are contiguous to the City of Auburn and
have not heretofore been incorporated in as a City or Town;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose. That there shall be annexed to the City of Auburn,
Washington, the property situated in the County of King, State of Washington,
legally described in Exhibit "A' and incorporated herein.
Section 2. That the property hereby annexed shall be assessed and
taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the City
of Auburn is assessed and taxed to pay for any outstanding general

C" indebtedness of the City to which the area was annexed.

Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are

Ln declared to be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence,

v paragraph, subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of
C" the application thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity
of the remainder of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other
persons or circumstances.
Section 4. Within ten (10) days after the effective date of the annexation

referred to in this ordinance, the City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall send to
the Office of the Clerk of the County Council one (1) certified copy of this
Ordinance together with a copy of a letter from the Executive Secretary of the
King County Boundary Review Board, which letter contains a copy of the
decision of the Boundary Review Board relating to this annexation.
Section 5. The City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall record a certified
copy of this Ordinance with the King County Auditor's Office.
Section 6. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out
the directives of this legislation.

Dear Mr. Rued:
We are writing to advise you that the Boundary Review Board has now completed the required
Evaluation, as specified in RCW 36.93, for the above -referenced proposed action file with the
Board effective February 16, 2000.
The Boundary Review Board also provided a 45 -day public review period February 16, 2000 -
April 1, 2000, as prescribed by RCW 36.93. The Board received no request for a public hearing
of this proposed action during the public review period.
The Boundary Review Board, therefore, hereby deems this proposed action approved effective
April 3, 2000. Final approval of the proposed action is also subject to the following actions,
where applicable:
1. Sewer and Water District actions and some other actions are also subject to approval by the
Metropolitan King County Council. If the Council makes changes to the proposal, the Board
may then be required to hold a public hearing.
2. Filing with King County of franchise application(s), as required, accompanied by a copy of
this letter.
3. Filing with King County of permit application(s), as required, accompanied by a copy of this
letter.
4. Fulfillment of all other statutory requirements and/or procedures specified in your Notice of
Intention.

5. Notification to King County Office of Regional Policy and Planning, in writing, of your
intended effective date of annexation. This notification should be provided as early as
possible. Please send this information to Susan Thomas, Office of Regional Policy and
Planning, 516 Third Avenue, Room 402, Seattle, Washington 98104, and
6. Filing with King County Council of: (1) one certified copy of final resolution or ordinance
accomplishing this proposed action; and (2) a copy of this letter. This document should be
filed with the Clerk of the Council (Attn: Anne Noris), King County Courthouse, Room 403,
Seattle, Washington 98104

EVANS ANNEXATION
That portion of the northeast quarter of section 7 and the northwest quarter of section 8,
township 21 north, range 5 east Willamette Meridian, King County Washington, more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning on a point of the Auburn city limits as established by Auburn city ordinance
#3266 said point being the intersection of said city limits with the northeast corner of the
Glenn Kara subdivision according to the plat as recorded in Volume 179, pages 91-95 of
plats, in King County Washington; thence west along said city limits to the west right of
way line of the Green River Road South; thence southeasterly along said west right of
way line and said city limits to the west right of way line of 100th Ave. SE; thence south to
the city limits as established by Auburn ordinance # 1758; thence easterly along said city
limits to a point lying 590.67 feet east of the west line of said section 8; thence northerly
