Home My WebLink About5475ORDINANCE NO. 5475 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO ACCEPT DONATIONS AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE AND APPROPRIATION OF SUCH DONATIONS TO BE USED BY THE AUBURN PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT FOR PROGRAMS AND SERVICES IN 2000. WHEREAS,; The City of Auburn desires to accept donations in the amount of Three Hundred Fifty -One Thousand Six Hundred Seventy -Two and 25/100s Dollars ($351,672.25) as specified in Section 2 herein to be used by the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department for department programs and services in 2000; and WHEREAS, the City of Auburn has determined that acceptance of such donations is in the best interest of the City NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to accept donations received by the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department to be used for its programs and services as provided in Section 2 herein. Section 2 RECEIPT OF DONATIONS. Donations can be deposited to either the General Fund or Trust fund depending on the wishes of the donor. Donations will be used for the benefit of programs and services in the following program areas: Specialized Recreation, Cultural Arts, Senior Center, Recreation, Parks„ White River Valley Museum, and Mountain View Cemetery. The City Council hereby approves the expenditure and appropriation of the donations as provided herein. Section 4. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this legislation. Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
