AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, KING
COUNTY, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY OF AUBURN
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING MAP TO APPLY THE NEWLY CREATED LEA HILL
(LH) DISTRICT DESIGNATIONS TO THE HOLT/COBBLE CREEK AREA OF
THE LEA HILL POTENTIAL ANNEXATION AREA IN ANTICIPATION OF
ANNEXING THAT AREA.
WHEREAS, The City Council has begun to annex a portion of the Lea Hill
Potential Annexation Area (PAA) and has approved the Holt/Cobble Creek
Annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission on August 8, 2000 conducted a

o Public Hearing on amending the City's Comprehensive Zoning Map to apply Lea

Hill (LH) District Designations to the Holt/Cobble Creek Annexation Area in
anticipation of annexing that area; and

C= WHEREAS, the Auburn City Council on November 6, 2000 conducted its

own Public Hearing on updating and amending the City's Comprehensive Zoning
Map to apply the Lea Hill (LH) District Designations to the Holt/Cobble Creek
Annexation Area in anticipation of annexing that area;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS

SECTION 1. Purpose. To approve an amendment to the City of Auburn
Comprehensive Zoning Map in order to apply the Lea Hill (LH) District
Designations to the Holt/Cobble Creek Annexation Area.
Section 2. Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein does hereby amend the City of Auburn Comprehensive
Zoning Map as provided therein to apply the Lea Hill (LH) District Designations to
the Holt/Cobble Creek Annexation Area in anticipation of annexing that area.
Section 3. Severability. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to
be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph,
r— subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application

o thereof to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder
of this ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or
circumstances.
o Section 4. Recording. Upon the passage, approval and publication of

this Ordinance as provided by law, the City Clerk of the City of Auburn shall cause
this Ordinance to be recorded in the office of the King County Auditor, Division of
Records and Elections.
Section 5. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to
implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the
directions of this legislation.

Section 6. Effective date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law.
