Home My WebLink About5660 ORDINANCE NO.5 6 6 0 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 10.36 ENTITLED "STOPPING, STANDING AND PARKING," BY REVISING SECTION 10.36.300 ENTITLED "PROHIBITED PARKING AREAS - NORTHWEST AUBURN" AND SECTION 10.36.380 ENTITLED "ONE HOUR PARKING ZONES" TO PROHIBIT PARKING ON THE NORTH SIDE OF MAIN STREET BETWEEN 'c' AND 'D' STREETS. WHEREAS, the intersection of 'c' Street and West Main Street is being reconstructed and permanent striping applied; and WHEREAS, the striping on West Main Street will be changed in order to change the signal phase to improve the efficiency of the intersection; and WHEREAS, Auburn City Code currently allows for 90 feet of one-hour parking on the north side of Main Street between 'c' and 'D' Streets; and WHEREAS, said one-hour parking must be prohibited to accommodate the striping. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 10.36.300 and Section 10.36.380 of the City of Auburn Code are amended to read as follows: Ordinance No. 5660 April 24, 2002 Page 1 10.36.300 Prohibited parking areas - Northwest Auburn. Northwest Auburn prohibited parking areas are as follows: 1 st Street Northwest, north side, from the west curbline of North Division Street, thence west to the first alley west of North Division Street. 2nd Street Northwest, south side, beginning at the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest, and thence extending west to the east Burlington Northern Railway right-of-way line. 2nd Street Northwest, north side, beginning at the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest, and thence extending west a distance of 60 feet. 3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the east curbline of "C" Street Northwest and the west curbline of North Division Street. 3rd Street Northwest, both sides, between the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest and the east curbline of "D" Street Northwest. 14th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 14th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 15th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 15th Street. From this point westerly to the easternmost edge of SR 181 (West Valley Highway), parking is prohibited. 16th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 16th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 29th Street Northwest, both sides from its intersection with "M" Street Northwest to its eastern termination as a cul-de-sac. 30th Street Northwest, north and south sides, beginning at a point where the centerline of North Division, when extended northerly, intersects 30th Street. From this point westerly to the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 37th Street NortheasUNorthwest, north and south sides, from the east end of SR 167 bridge over-crossing to Auburn Way North. "A" Street Northwest, east side, from the north curbline of West Main Street to the south curbline of 1 st Street Northwest. "B" Street Northwest, east and west sides, beginning at the north curbline of 14th Street Northwest, thence northerly to a point 292 feet north of the north curbline of 30th Street Northwest. "C" Street Northwest, west side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence northerly a distance of 175 feet. "C" Street Northwest, east side, beginning at a point where the east curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence northerly a distance of 225 feet. "C" Street Northwest, both sides, beginning at a point 340 feet north of the north curbline of 3rd Street Northwest, thence north to a point where "e" Street Northwest intersects the south curbline of 15th Street Northwest. "D" Street Northwest, west side, beginning at a point 228 feet north of the north curbline of Main Street and thence continuing north 123 feet. "F" Street Northwest, east side, between the north curbline of Main Street and the south curbline of 2nd Street Northwest. "G" Street Northwest, east side, beginning at the north curbline of Main Street and extending north to the end of the paved street a distance of 260 feet. West Main Street, north side, beginning at a point where the west curbline of "H" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street, thence westerly a distance of 206 feet. West Main Street, north side, beqinninq at a point where the west curbline of "C" Street Northwest intersects the north curbline of West Main Street. thence west for 3 dist3nco of 96 feet-to the east curbline of D Street NW. West Main Street, north side, beginning at a point where the north curbline of West Main Street intersects the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest thence west 140 feet. West Valley Highway, both sides, beginning at a point 860 feet south of the south curbline of 15th Street Northwest, thence north to a point 809 feet north of the north curbline of 26th Street Northwest. 10.36.380 One-hour parking zones. A one-hour parking limit without meters is established on the following streets, which one-hour parking limit shall exist from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, excluding Sundays and holidays: 1 st Street Northeast, north side, between Auburn Way North and a point 106 feet west. 1 st Street Northeast, south side, between "B" Street Northeast and Auburn Way North. 1 st Street Northeast, south side, from a point 118 feet east of the east curbline of North Division Street to the west curbline of Auburn Avenue. 1 st Street Northwest north side, from the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest to the first alley east of "A" Street Northwest. 1 st Street Northwest, south side, between the west curbline of "A" Street Northwest and the east curbline of "B" Street Northwest. 4th Street Northeast, south side, beginning at a point 1 08 feet west of the west curbline of "J" Street Northeast easterly to a point 78 feet east of the west curbline of "J" Street Northeast. 4th Street Northeast, south side, beginning at a point 35 feet east of the east curbline of "E" Street Northeast easterly to a point 245 feet east of the east curbline of "E" Street Northeast. 4th Street Northeast, north side, beginning at a point 200 feet east of the curbline of "E" Street Northeast and continuing easterly to a point 120 feet west of the west curbline of "H" Street Northeast. 7th Street Northeast, south side, from the east curbline of "B" Street Northeast to a point 120 feet east. "A" Street Northwest, west side, from the first intersecting alley north of West Main Street to the North curbline of West Main Street. "A" Street Southeast, west side, between the south curbline of East Main Street to the north curbline of 2nd Street Southeast. "A" Street Southwest, both sides, between the south curbline of West Main Street to the first intersecting alley south of 1 st Street Southwest. "B" Street Northeast, east side, only between Main Street and 1 st Street Northeast. Auburn Avenue, east side, immediately north of the east-west crosswalk located on the north side of East Main Street, one parking stall only. Auburn Way North, east side, between Main Street and 1 st Street Northeast. Auburn Way South, east side, from the south curbline of East Main Street, south to the north curbline of 4th Street Southeast. Auburn Way South, west side, from the south curbline of East Main Street, thence southerly a distance of 140 feet. West M3in Street, north sido, boginning 3t 3 point 96 feet west of tho wost curbline of "C" Street Northwest, thence 'Nest 3 dist3nco of 90 foot. Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this ordinance. Section 3. If any portion of this Ordinance or its application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
