AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION
12.56.045 OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE, RELATING TO
AIRPORT TIE DOWN, HANGAR AND STORAGE RENTAL
FEES
WHEREAS, in RCW 35A.11.020 entitled "Powers vested in legislative bodies
of noncharter and charter code cities," the Council of the City of Auburn has
been provided the power to regulate its local municipal affairs appropriate to
good government of the city; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the City's operation of its municipal airport, it
is appropriate to amend Section 12.56.045 of Auburn City Code to reflect an
across-the-board 3 percent (3%) increase in lease rates for hangars, tie downs
and storage rooms at Auburn Municipal Airport.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Adoption. That Section 12.56.045 of the Auburn City Code, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
12.56.045 Airport Tie Down, Hangar and Storage Rental Fees.
The following monthly rates and charges are established at the
Auburn Municipal Airport and shall be effective as outlined below:

Surcharge Effective March 1,2001.
A surcharge of $3.00 per month is charged in addition to the base monthly
rental fees provided in this Section for all tiedown, hangar and storage
rental fees to be used for the provision of increased security at the Auburn
Municipal Airport.

subject to the State Leasehold Tax. The total charqe is reflected in
monthly billing rates.

Section 2. Severability. If any section, subsection, clause, phrase or sentence
of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be invalid or unconstitutional, such invalidity
or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of the remaining
portions of this Ordinance, as it is being expressly declared that this Ordinance and
each section, subsection, clause, phrase or sentence hereof would have been
prepared, adopted and approved and ratified irrespective of the fact that any one or
more section, subsection clause, phrase or sentence be declared invalid or
unconstitutional.
Section 3. Implementation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
legislation, including giving notice of the fee changes as required by City Ordinance.
Section 4. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in fome five
days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law, and the
rates shall be effective as specified herein.
