ORDINANCE NO. 5854
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, REPEALING AUBURN CITY CODE CHAPTER 13.28
ENTITLED "UTILITY BILL COLLECTION" IN ITS ENTIRETY
WHEREAS, the current code is no longer applicable.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 13.28 of the City of Auburn Code is repealed in
its entirety:

UTILITY BILL COLLECTION
Sections:
13.28.010 Contracts Authorized.
13.28.020 Contracts Form.
13.28.010 Contracts Authorized.
The mayor and city clerk are authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
the city, and to secure the proper execution of, contracts f{)r the collection of
municipal utility bills by the f{)lIowing designated local merchants:
A Peckenpaugh Drugs, "M" Street Northeast and Main, I\uburn, VVashington;
B. Frostad's Rexall Pharmacy, 2 'Nest Main Street, Auburn, VVashington;
C. Fisher Drugs, 1813 Howard Road, Auburn, \^!ashington; and such other
additional local merchants or banks as the city council may hereafter designate
by resolution. (Ord. 3592 § 1, 1981; Ord. 3005 § 1, 1976; 1957 code §
10.13.010.)
13.28.020 Contracts Form.
Such contracts shall bo substantially in the form of Exhibit "1\," attached to the
ordinance codified in this chapter and on file ':./ith the city clerk, and shall be
executed in duplicate, one copy delivered to the merchant executing the same,

.and one copy to the city clerk, to be filed in the official records of the clerk's
office. (Ord. 3080 § 1, 1976; 1957 code § 10.13.020.)
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of
this ordinance.
Section 3. If any portion of this Ordinance or its application to any
person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the Ordinance or the
application of the provision to other persons or circumstances shall not be
affected.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
