A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THERMO
KING NORTHWEST FOR GOLF CARTS FOR THE AUBURN
GOLF COURSE
WHEREAS, the City of Auburn operates all golf aspects of the operations of
the Auburn Golf Course; and
WHEREAS, because approximately thirty-five percent (35%) of golfers rent
carts, it would be advantageous for the golfers and the City of Auburn's golf course
operations for the City to provide golf course participants with the option of renting
carts; and
WHEREAS, the rental of this equipment generates revenue estimated to be
in excess of $225,000 in a 12-month period; and
WHEREAS, in order to meet demand, it is appropriate that the Auburn Golf
Course maintain a fleet of seventy-two (72) carts; and
WHEREAS, in 2007, after considerable research, the City purchased thirty-
six (36) Electric carts from Thermo King Northwest; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to maintain a consistent fleet of carts to both
enhance customer service and to decrease maintenance inventory costs,
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, IN A REGULAR MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED, HEREWITH
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Auburn are herewith
authorized to enter into an agreement with Thermo King Northwest of Kent,
Washington for the procurement of up-to thirty-six (36) 2008 Club Car Precedent
golf carts.
Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this
legislation.
Section 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect upon passage
and signatures hereon.
