Amendments to Chapter 18.04 (Definitions) and Chapter 18.26 (C-1 Light Commercial District) of the Auburn City Code Text Amendments comprised of the addition of Section 18.26.020.KK to specify mixed use development as a permitted use provided that each use is a permitted or conditional use within the zone; the addition of Section 18.26.020.LL.1-4 to specify that multi-family development is a permitted use as part of a mixed use development provided that compliance to specified criteria can be demonstrated; the removal of Section 18.26.030.A pertaining to the current requirement for a conditional use permit for apartments and renumber this subsection accordingly; and, the addition of a new section - Section 18.04.625 (Mixed Use Development) to the definitions chapter - Chapter 18.04 - of Title 18 of the Auburn City Code. VI. OTHER BUSINESS A. Study Session - Review of the 2009 Comprehensive Plan Amendments • City initiated amendments that include policy/text and map amendments • Private initiated amendments that include policy/text and map amendments B. Study Session - Options for Amendments to Signs/Outdoor Sales Displays/Seating Areas for Food/Beverage Establishments to Support Local Businesses VII.ADJOURNMENT The City of Auburn Planning Commission is an eight member advisory body that provides recommendations to the Auburn City Council on the preparation of and amendments to land use plans and related codes such as zoning. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Actions taken by the Planning Commission are not final decisions; they are in the form of recommendations to the City Council who must ultimately make the final decision.
