Rainier is a Recrea- tion delight for boating, swimming, fishing, water skiing or just loafing. The proposed highway will give King County access to these facilities. 0 L j. Owl- Left - Pictured is one of the homes on Lake Tapps Having 56 miles of lake frontage, this area will provide beautiful home sites for the continued population expansion in the Puget Sound Area. The' proposed highway will bring the Lake Tapps area nearer to King County and open the area to development. Right - Pat Gailey, Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Committee and Waldo Carlson, Exe- cutive Secretary of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. They are shown on a recent inspec- tion of the proposed road location. Lake Tapps is only one mile from populus King County but is accessible by but a few primitive roads. Carlson and Gailey are convinced this connec- tion will have a definite favorable impact on the areas economic growth.
