WHEREAS, the City of Auburn is the owner of the following described
property situate within its corporate limits, namely:

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn has determined that
the sale of such property would be advantaqeous to the City and in the best
interest of its citizens in that said property is not now, has not been and
w i l l not be used for any forseeab le municipal purpose by the City of Auburn;

WHEREAS, the City of Auburn has heretofor requested sealed bids for
the sale of said property, advertising the same in the ofFicial legal news-
paper of the City on October-21, 1964 and October 28, 1964; and,
WHEREAS, DONALD EDWARD WRIGHT and MIGNONETTE J. WRI:IIT, his wife, have
submitted the highest bid for the purchase of said property,, said bid being
in excess of the appraised value of said property, as determined by
independent appraisal;

If title is not so insurable as above provided and cannot be made so insurable by termination date set forth in Paragraph 8 hereof, earnest money shall be refunded and all rights of
purchaser terminated. Provided that the purchaser may waive defecta and elect to purchase. If title is so insurable and purchaser fails or refuses to complete purchase, the earnest
money shall be forfeited as liquidated damages unless seller elects to enforce this agreement. The agent shall not be responsible for delivery of title.
8. (a) If financing is required purchaser agrees to make immediate application therefor, sign necessary papers, pay required costa, and exert best efforts to procure such financing.
(b) A Veteran purchaser agrees to complete the purchase if the sale price is reduced by the seller to conform with the Certificate of Reasonable Value issued by the Veterans Ad-
ministration. Seller and agent agree to refund earnest money in event financing contemplated by the Veteran purchaser is not obtained.
4. (a) If this agreement is for conveyance of fee title, title shall be conveyed by Statutory Warranty Deed free of encumbrances
or defects except those noted in Paragraph 1.

ANALYSIS OF HIGHEST & BEST USE:
This property is zoned for single family use, and has neighboring
homes to the north of subject property. The Auburn well site
borders to the south which is a clean and neat compound fully
fenced with a small cement block structure that blends nicely into
the residential surroundings. The subject property could only be
used in conjunction with the land that is available on the north.
The subject property should be'sold only to an individual that can
combine it with additional land bordering on the north line of
subject property, as this parcel is not suitable for a dwelling
because of its narrow width.
NEIGHBORHOOD:
The subject lot is situated within walking distance of supermarket
and drug facilities, medical clinic and many service facilities;
Uarber shops, service stations, city library. The neighborhobdr<
seems to be of lower average middle class.
:FAIR MARKET VALUE:
In regard to the fair market value of the north 35' x 185' of the

Therefore, I have prepared a Closing Statement concerning
said sale and I am enclosing the original and one copy of the

Dear Sir,
As it is rather difficult for me to conduct business an a long-distance
basis, I have asked my sister, Mrs. Delvin Parslow, to act as my agent in
Auburn.
I would appreciate it, very much, if you would explain the different
aspects of this legal procedure between the City of Auburn, and my husband,
and myself .
I would appreciate if you would contact her, when needed, and sead all
correspondence to her, concerning this matter. She will in turn, send it on
to us.
We realize the name, Donald Edward Wright, is quite common, and that there
is another person with this name, in the City of Auburn. In fact, we believe
he lives on M Street.
My husband has no relatives (other than mine) in the city. He has never
lived in the city,(altho I have), and he has never had business, or has ever
known anyone by the name, Marjorie A. Wright.
I do not understand what this person, and the Judgement mentioned, has to
with us buying a pWe of property from the City of Auburn.
In Feb. 1960 we lived in Honolulu, Hawaii, and may husband was in the Area
of Japan, upon a submarine. In July, 1961 we lived in South San Francisco,
and once again, my husband was aboard a submarine.
He is usually aboard a submarine. But not for long.. I ho pet
For the present time he can be refered to, as USNctive). After February
1965, his title will be USN (R et.). With this title behind his name, we hope
no one will confuse us with the person now living in Auburn.
At the present time my husband is once again at sea aboard a submarine.
I do have his power of attorney, and if it is needed, I can have an affidavit
made out to the effect that he is not the person mentioned in the Judgement.
But I do not see where we should pay a Notary's fee, just because some
other person with a similar name , has made a mess of their life.
