MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
This Memorandum of Understanding is made and entered into the3> 0 -0-
day of June, 2005, by and between the City of Auburn, Parks and Recreation
Department, hereinafter referred to as CITY, and the White River Disc Golf
Association, Tom Bontempo, President, 416 "R" Street, Auburn, Washington
98002, hereinafter referred to as WRDGA.
WHEREAS, the CITY owns and controls certain property at 2401 Stuck
River Road, known as Game Farm Wilderness Park, for the purpose of public
recreational and educational opportunities for the citizens of various ages and
backgrounds in Auburn; and
WHEREAS, WRDGA is interested in a volunteer partnership with the CITY
to develop a tournament level disc golf course in Game Farm Wilderness Park,
and
WHEREAS, the CITY and WRDGA wish to formalize a relationship to
design and construct a disc golf course at Game Farm Wilderness Park, with the
primary focus on a facility which will allow pubiC use and tournament plclY and
WHEREAS, the City and the WRDGA will maintain the course in a playable
condition with the approval of the City, and
WHEREAS, The CITY may close the Disc Golf Course with out notice if the
Disc golf course is not maintained to reasonable safety standards
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises set forth herein,
the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties agree as follows:
1. Term. This agreement shall continue in effect until terminated by
30-day written notice from either pa~. Any notice required or
permitted under this Agreement may e personally served, or given
in writing, and shall be deemed sufficiently given or served if sent
by re~istered or certified mail addressed to the respective parties

2. WRDGA Obligations. During the term of the MOU, that WRDGA
agrees to perform as follows:
a. Construct and install disc golf course equipment.
b. Maintain and or repair targets / baskets and tee boxes.
c. Maintain 18 hole disc golf course to include pruning, raking
and removal of branches or debris.
d. WRDGA to provide a yearly schedule of events to be
coordinated with the Park Recreation Department to
minimize user group conflicts during events.
3. CITY Obligations. During the term of this MOU, THE CITY agrees:
a. Provide a designated area in the Game Farm Wilderness
Park for an 18 hole Disc Golf Course layout.
b. Work with the WRDGA to notify the citizens of Auburn that
the Disc Golf Course is available for pubic use and disc golf
lessons.
4 Termination. This MOU may be terminated without penalty by
either party upon (30) days written notice. Any WRDGA event or
activity occurring after the date of termination but scheduled
before the date of termination shall be governed by the agreement
and benefit the CmZENS OF AUBURN.
5 Aooroval This MOU shall be operative and effective only after it has
been approved and signed by both parties.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the CITY and WRDGA by their respective officers and
representatives thereunto duly authorized, have executed this MOU as 01' the day
