A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DIRECTING
, THE MAYOR TO MOVE FORWARD WITH PHASE
ONE OF THE CITY OF AUBURN LES GOVE
COMMUNITY CAMPUS DEVELOPMENT PLANS
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Auburn Washington expressed
its intention to move forward with the Les Gove Community Campus
development plans in its Resolution No. 4491, passed by the Council on June 15,
2009; and
WHEREAS, since that time, the City of Auburn has explored a variety of
funding mechanisms and has allocated resources to the planning for the
development of the Les Gove Community Campus; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, further, included in its budget for 2010,
funding for initial steps of the development of the Les Gove Community Campus;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to develop the Les Gove Community
Campus in phases, which development is dependent on funding in partnership
with the Boys and Girls Club; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocations and appropriations, as set forth in the ,
City's Budget, for the City's share of the development costs for said Phase One
are Capital Project Funds that are restricted for use for Les Gove Community
Campus development purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows:

Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to move forward with
Phase One of the Les Gove Community Campus development of the Activity
Center, which Phase One includes remodel of the Parks, Arts and Recreation
Building, and construction of the gymnasium.
Section 2. That the Mayor is authorized to implement such
administrative procedures as may be necessary.to carry out the directives of this
legislation.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force
upon passage and signatures hereon.
