HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-19-2005White River Valley Historical Society Board Meeting Minutes January 19, 2005 Board Members Present: Pat Bailey, Jan Cavanaugh, Jean Farrington, Mike Gerber, Dan Harris, Kathy Lewis, Michelle Marshman, Mike McDermott, Ann Mehl, Larry Miller, Janice Nelson, Gordy Nishimoto, Mae Yamada Board Members Absent: Valerie Bellack, Doug Hedger, Mike Hamilton Staff Members Present: Patricia Cosgrove, Alyssa Shirley Morein, Kristen Bruhahn, Karen Haas, and Janet Wells 1. Call To Order & Approval of Minutes: A. President Larry called the meeting to order and 1:37PM with the introduction of all Board Members and Staff sharing about where they work, what they do and their hobbies. B. Patricia Cosgrove shared the history of the Museum and indicated the museum has grown to a staff of five and a volunteer staff of eighty. She also spoke about the 2005 Projects and Challenges. C. The responsibilities of the Board were explained. Meetings are the third Wednesday of each month, attendance at the museum events and committee responsibilities, and being Cheerleaders for the museum. We then played a get acquainted game where we found out that some were and some were not very good liars. D. After a break for refreshments, Alyssa Shirley Morein talked about the preservation of the artifacts and collection policy and procedures. Karen Haas appeared as Eliza Jones and had the Board participate in a mini history lesson. After a period of questions, the board meeting was adjourned at 3:30PM.
