MIINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 3
Chairman Bill Peloza called the meeting to order at 4:10 p.m. in Conference
Room 3, located on the second floor of Auburn City Hall, 25 West Main Street,
Auburn, WA. Members present: Chair Bill Peloza, Vice Chair Sue Singer,
Excused absence: Member John Partridge. Staff present: Mayor Pete Lewis,
Chief of Police Jim Kelly, Solid Waste & Recycling Coordinator Joan Clark,
Utilities & Accounting Manager Rhonda Ewing, Police Secretary/Scribe Kathy
Emmert. Others present: Wayne Osborne, citizen

A. Approval of Minutes of the January 11, 2010 Municipal Services Committee Meeting
Vice Chair Singer moved to accept the Minutes of the January 11, 2010
meeting. Chair Peloza concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 2-0
IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS (Action Items)
A. Resolution No. 4560* (Kelly)
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
approving and authorizing the Mayor to accept a grant from the U. S.
Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services
(COPS)
Vice Chair Singer moved to accept the Resolution and forward to the full
Council for acceptance. Chair Peloza concurred.

V. INFORMATION /DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Resolution No. 4564*(Coleman)
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
authorizing the acceptance and appropriation of grant funds in the amount
of Thirty Four Thousand and Five Hundred Twenty Dollars ($34,520.00),

and authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Interlocal
Agreement between the Department of Ecology and the City of Auburn to
accept said funds for implementation of the 2010-2011 Coordinated
Prevention Grant Program
The Committee supports the Resolution.
B. Vehicle Towing*
Topic postponed until all Committee members are present. Scheduled for
the February 8, 2010 meeting.
C. Public Comment
Public Comment section moved ahead of the Matrix discussion. No
comments were made.
D. Matrix*
The Matrix was adjusted as follows:

Items 7P, 10P, 17P and 21-Update postponed until February 8, 2010
meeting
Items 20P and 31-Update postponed until the February 22, 2010 meeting

Completion Date changed to On-Going
Item 41-Estimated Completion Date changed to On-Going

The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
