February 23, 2010 III. OTHER BUSINESS A. Work Session -Changes to Proposed Amendments to Titles 14,15,16,17 and 18 of the Auburn City Code relating to the City of Auburn's floodplain development regulations. Summary: The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a work session with the Commission to review recommended revisions to proposed amendments to Titles 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18 relating to the City of Auburn's floodplain development regulations. The recommended revisions are in response to FEMA's public comment draft floodplain model ordinance and associated regional guidance documents issued March 9, 2010, and to FEMA staff's comments on the City's proposed floodplain regulation amendments received March 16, 2010. A public comment opportunity will be permitted as part of the work session. IV. ADJOURNMENT The City of Auburn Planning Commission is an eight member advisory body that provides recommendations to the Auburn City Council on the preparation of and amendments to land use plans and related codes such as zoning. Planning Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council. Actions taken by the Planning Commission are not final decisions; they are in the form of recommendations to the City Council who must ultimately make the final decision.
