AUBURN, WASHINGTUN TUESDAY iMARCH 5. 1957
Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
held at $:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers at the City Hall.
The meeting was called to order by iUiayor Clark.
Councilmen present: Hitchcock, Kuehn, Rupert, Stalder,
Cornwell, Raven and Petersen.
Minutes of the previous meetings held Feb. 19th, 26th and
March lst were approved as corrected.
BOARD 0F ADJUSTM.ENTS HEAKING
The Mayor declared the hearing of the Board of Adjustments
open on the request of Robert Petersen for a special property use
at 9306 So. 320th.
There being no one speaking for or against:':,the request
the Mayor declared the hearing Glosed.
It was moved by Hitchcock and 2nd by Cornwell that the
request of Robert Petersents for a Special property use be
granted. MOTiON CARRIED
ROHR SEWER LINE
The Mayor reported that Niatt Malaspina Co. has agreed to
install the sewer lir.e to Rohr aircraft at hi.s bid Ir ice.
PtTBLIC HEARING TdEBSTER aNNEXaTION

The Mayor declared the public hearing open on the request
of Roy Webster to annex a tract of land south of the Gity limits
of Auburn. Mr. Webster came before the Council requesting that the City
annex this property with the same zoning as the county had
granted. He said he would like this pr¢erty to be annexed as
soon as possible.
There being no one elae speaking for or against the
annexation the Mayor declared the hearing closed.
It was moved by Hitchcock and 2nd by Kuehn that the request
of Roy 'uVebster's to annex be granted. MOTION i,ARRIED

The City Clerk said he had received a letter from the City
of Enumclaw in which they had enclosed vouchers for the City of
Auburn to bill them with.
WATER COl'iliviITTEE REPORT
Councilman Rupert reported for the Water Committee saying
t hat the committee has made arrangements with the property
owners who wanted to hook up to the water line at the end oP the
Wolfe Addition. This will cost these property owners $1.00 per
front foot or 50¢ per foot on one side of the street.
Councilman Rupert reported for the Water Committee on the
Crouch request,on the NicPherson property, saying that it is their
recommendation that the property owners should pay in 1ffieu of
assessments, the same as any other property in the City.
Mrs. Grouch said that if was Mr. TvTcPherson's un?.erstanding
that there wouldntt be any assessments.
The Mayor told. Mrs. Crouch to have her Attorney get ip touch
with the City Attorney to settle this matter.

Councilman Stalder reported for the Street Committee saying
that the Street Committee has taken the 4 to 6 P.M. NO Parking
signs down•on Fast Main Street.

Mrs. Graf asked the Gouncil if anything has been done about
the nuisance at $20 6th 53t. S.E.
The City Attorney said that he will huve the necessa.ry ordi-
nances ready for *he next meeting.

property at 959 East Main be zone(i for Coaforming zoning.
This was referred to the r lanninu Commission anJ Mr.
Courch was instructed to presPrzt to the Planning Commission a

Councilman Hitcrcock asked if the L'ity has done anythi.ng rnore
ahout the Parking lot at the corner of Eaat Main and Auburn Ave.
The Mayor said he has appoiz7teU. Comm$ttee's to work with the
Farking Association.
Councilman Raven felt the city should give N~iss Smith some
kind of offer.
Councilman Kuehn said he dic?ntt feel this phase sho9ald be

SORDPTOMIST INVITATION
A?etter was received fram the Soroptomist Club inviting
the Cauncil to a Bingo Party March I4th.

A Ietter was received from Mr. Scott of the Boeing Airplace
Co. asking about more rental ur.its for Auburr..
The Mayor saici the King County Housir_g Authority is goihg
to build 60 Green River Homes in the near futi.zre.
The City Engineer was instructed to take this letter to the
zext Plannir.g Commission meetir.g.
