Regular meetang of the City Council of the City of Auburn,
held at 8:00 P.M.J. in. the Council. Chambers at the Gity Hall.
The meeting was call.sd to order by Mayor Denise.
Councilanen Present: Aaby, Petersen, Rupert, Stalder, Fitz-
simmonsA Towner, and Prescott.
Councilmen absent: None
The mi.nutes of the special meeting held August 2$,195$, and
the regul,ar mseting held September 2, 1958, were approved as
mailed.

The Mayor declared the public hearing open un Gene Colburnts :
~ request for a special building permit,. No one apFeared ta abject ;
so the Mayor declared the hearing closed.
It was moved by Prescatt and 2nd by Fitzsiznmons that the re-'
quest be granted and the City Attarney lae instructed to prepare
~ ths necessary ordinances

A hid p.roposal for the constructian of curb and gutter on
6th St. N.E. between 0 & R St. N.E. was stibmitted by George deck
& Sans.

referred to the Street Committee with power to act.

Counc°ilman Fit.zsimmons stated that he had received a letter
from J.W. McYiasters requesting the transfer of a].1 taxi lice~~~~
from Mr. McMa.sters to Wendsll Workman. Mr. Workman stated that he
woul.d operate this taxi tzusiness .from his service station but
would 1ike to reta.in on,e taxi zone on Auburn Avenue.
It was moved by Fitzaimmons and 2rac1 by Prescatt thatthe
transfer request be granted.

Council.man Stalder stated that since one taaci zone was being
vacated the Pola ce Chief shou:ld be notafied to a.nstall a parking
meter in its place.

meter be i.nsta3.led, at the location of the vacated t<:,xi. zone.
