I. CALL TO ORDER 4:00 PM, ANNEX BUILDING CONFERENCE ROOM NO. 2,
1 E MAIN STREET, 2ND FLOOR
Members present: Chair Bill Peloza, Vice Chair Sue Singer, Member John
Partridge. Staff present: Mayor Pete Lewis, Chief of Police Jim Kelly, Finance
Director Shelley Coleman, ER & Comp Manager John Fletcher, Assistant City
Attorney Steve Gross, Solid Waste and Recycling Coordinator Joan Clark, Police
Secretary/Scribe Kathy Emmert. Others present: Wayne Osborne citizen, Laura
Moser and Susan Robinson from Waste Management, Robert Whale, Auburn
Reporter representative.

A. Approval of Minutes of the March 8, 2010 Municipal Services Committee Meeting
Vice Chair Singer moved to accept the minutes of the March 8 meeting.
Member Partridge seconded. Chair Peloza concurred.

IV. ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS (Action Items)
A. Ordinance No. 6300 * (Reid)
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
amending Chapter 9.22 of the Auburn City Code relating to Controlled
Substances
Vice Chair Singer moved to forward Ordinance No. 6300 to the full Council
for acceptance. Member Partridge seconded. Chair Peloza concurred.
MOTION CARRIED: 3-0
V. INFORMATION /DISCUSSION ITEMS
A. Resolution No. 4577 * (Heineman)
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
approving and ratifying an updated City of Auburn Flexible Benefits Plan
The Committee supports Resolution No. 4577.

B. Ordinance No. 6299 * (Coleman)
An Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Auburn, Washington,
amending Ordinance No. 6215, the 2009-2010 Biennial Budget Ordinance
as amended by Ordinance Nos. 6226, 6246, 6278 and Ordinance No.
6285, authorizing amendment to the City of Auburn 2009-2010 Budget as
set forth in Scheduled "A"
The Committee supports Ordinance No. 6299.
C. Animal Control and Rescue Update (Kelly)
Update postponed until the May 10, 2010 meeting.
D. Matrix
Item 20P -Report postponed until May 10, 2010 meeting (see C above)
