Lewis, Mayor 25 West Main Street * Auburn WA 98001-4998 * www.aubumwa.gov * 253-931-3000 RE: Amendment to I -Net Service Contract for Additional IP Addresses Dear Mr. Hunt, As you are aware, earlier this year we signed an I -Net contract renewal through calendar year 2012. As part of the renewal, we requested a downgrade of our existing service beginning January 2011 from our current B 1 service level to L 1 (Limited Basic). We were aware that the number of IP addresses available after the downgrade would be reduced to a total of eight, and at that time our research indicated that number would be sufficient to meet our needs. However, we have recently been informed by the Washington Courts that certain critical court applications are only available via a IGN connection with 1 -to -1 NAT translation. This new development now means that the eight addresses available with the Limited Basic service level no longer meet our needs and we are respectfully requesting that additional IP addresses be added to our Limited Basic service level beginning January 2011. We are requesting 16 additional addresses which were quoted to us at $64.00 per month above the L 1 service rate. This would provide us with a total of 24 IP addresses on Limited Basic at a total monthly rate of $439.00. We are requesting that an amendment to the Service Contract be implemented as quickly as possible to minimize the risk of negatively impacting our customers and business operations at the beginning of the new year.
