Those Board members attending in addition to Ms. Wri9ht were Len Elliott, Lonnie Sundal, Maggie Greenslit, Arnie Galli, Jan Speer and Bryce Landrud. Also present at the meeting were Parks Horticulturist Kirk Hadley and Parks Secretary Julie Mehl. II. Minutes March meeting minutes motioned for approval by Maggie Greenslit, seconded by Arnie Galli. III. Correspondence/Public Input IV. Old Business A. Arbor Day Tree Planting, Dana Hinman will editJapprove Len's article for the Auburn Reporter. The Katsura tree has been ordered. The District Garden Club will have some folks attending, as well as the Auburn Garden Club. The Department of Natural Resources will have an attendee also. B. Significant Tree 2012 — Bryce suggested the two Red Oak trees near Radio Shack. V. New Business A. The Urban Tree Board welcomes new member Jan Speer. She has been an Auburn resident for twelve years and is also a member of the Auburn Garden Club. VI. Board Recommendations/Input A. The Aubum Garden Club plant sale will be held June 12`" at M St. and Main (near Peckenpaugh's). AUBURN * MORE THAN YOU IMAGINED VII. Department Report A. The fence at Pioneer Cemetery has been replaced, cleaned and over 230 plants & shrubs have been planted. B. Neighborhood Tree Grant — on 9`h Street from F to H (entry to park) there is currently one tree. It is an ideal opportunity to line the street with trees. Kirk recommends Flowering Crab Apple trees, 16 on each side of the street. C. The drainage project is almost complete at the spray park. D. City is in negotiations with King County to purchase a two acre lake on West Hill. E. Game Farm Wilderness Park trail repair (root damage) has begun. VIII.
