A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO APPLY
FOR STATE GRANT FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $9,895 FROM
THE WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT OF " .
TRANSPORTATION TO REHABILITATE THE AIRPORT APRON,
UPDATE THE AIRPORT MASTER PLAN, AND TO IMPROVE
AIRPORT DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL, AND
AUTHORIZING THE-EXECUTION OF THE GRANT AGREEMENT
THEREFOR
WHEREAS, the Auburn Municipal Airport is in need of apron
rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the Aubum Municipal Airport is ;in need of a mid-term update
to its current master plan which covers the period 2000 through 2020; and
WHEREAS, the Auburn Municipal Airportis in need of drainage and
erosion control improvements to address flooding and standing water issues;
and _
WHEREAS,. the City of Auburn has submitted to the Washington State
Department of Transportation Aviation Division a request for state grant funds in
the amount of Nine Thousand Eighf Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars ($9,895)
from the Washington State Department of Transportation Aviation Division,
representing #unds to be used fowards the apron rehabilitation, master plan .
. update and drainage/erosion control as specified above; and WHEREAS, by Virtue of this Resolution the City Council has expressed.
its statement of support of this project; and

WHEREAS, the City of Auburn is willing to provide its 2'/2% of the funds
needed for these airport projects in the amount of Nine Thousand Eight
Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars ($9,895), subject to funding approval from the
Federal Aviation Administration in the amount of Three Hundred and Seventy
'Six Thousand and Ten Dollars ($376,010) and the State of Washington in the
amount of Nine Thousantl Eight Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars ($9,895); and
WHEREAS, the Aubum Municipal Airport has available for these projects
. funds sufficient to provide this 2'/% match to the State's amount; and
, WHEREAS, the Washington State Department of Transportation
requires a resolution from the City of Auburn expressing support of this project
prior to award of state grant funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Purpose: The Auburn City Council does hereby express its
statement of support for the following projects:' apron rehabilitation, mid-term
update of the Auburn - Municipal Airport master plan, and improve
drainage/erosion controL The Aubum City Council does hereby authorize the
City's expenditure of Nine Thousand Eight Hundred and Ninety Five Dollars
($9,895) as its 2'/% match of the funds needed to complete these projects.
The Mayor of the City of Auburn is hereby authorized to accept the Washington
State Department of Transportation, Aviation Division grant, should it be
awarded to the City of Auburn.

Section 2. Implementatiooi. The Mayor of the City of Aubum is
hereby authorized to implement such administrative proceduces as may be
necessary to carry out the directives of this resolution.
'Section 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall fake effect and be in
full force upon passage and signatures hereon.
