A RESOLUTION OFTHE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING THE CITY OF • AUBURN FEE SCHEDULE RELATING TO THE AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT WHEREAS, in connection with the municipal functions and operations of the City of Auburn, the City provitles various public services,�a number of which entail fees; and, . WHEREAS, the City Council provided for adoption of a City of Auburn Fee Schedules in the adoption of Ordinance No. 5707; and, WHEREAS, in the course of reviewing Auburn Municipal Airport fees, it is appropriate to include base fees for vehicle parking and for the use of vacant tie down areas. � NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON HEREBY RESOLVES, as follows: Section 1. That Section B of the City of Auburn Fee Schedule related to the Aubum Municipal Airport is amended to read as follows: B. There shall be an additional $100.00 per month surcharge for the additional space. A security surcharge of $5.00 per month is charged, in addition to the base monthly rental fees provided in this section, for each fie-down, each hangar door and each storage rental area, which security surcharge fees are to be used for the provision ofi increased security at the . Auburn Municipal Airport (approved by Ordinance No. 5500 on January 16, 2001). For the purposes hereof, each tie-down consists of the structures/facilities necessary to accommodate one (1) regular sized light aircraft. Furthermore, the hangar doors to which the security surcharge applies includes all hangars locafed at the Auburn Municipal Airport, including those hangars built on land owned by the City but leased to private parties, and those hangars owned in a condominium type ownership. The above lease and security surcharge amounts are subject to applicable leasehold taxes, whieh shall be paid by the tenanf. The total charges, including the above lease rates plus lease hold tax and surcharge shall be reflected in monthly billing rates. Tenants shall be given notice - as required by Ordinance or lease agreements. The Airport Lease rates shall be effective January 1, 2008. Payments. Payments are due on the first of each month, past due as of the 5th and late as of the 15th. Payments not received by the 15t" incur a $10.00.late fee. Payments not received , after 30 days from the due date incar an additional $25.00 delinquency fee. Automatic gate electronic cacds. .One automatic gate electronic card will be issued to each tenant free of charge. Any additional electronic cards requested by a tenant are subject to a $25.00 non refundabte fee. A $25.00 replacement fee will be assessed against the tenant for all lost or damaged electronic cards.All electronic cards must be returned to the airport at the time of lease expiration. EacFi lease shall include an initial payment of first and last months' rent plus a damage deposit in the amount of finro times the monthly base rate. Each lease agreement shall also include terms that authorize the city to apply the damage deposit to outstanding charges on termination. 2. There are ten desiqnated spaces available on a firsf come basis for pilots to park or store a vehicle for an extended qeriod of time. All airport rules and recaulations apqlv. A Vehicle Storape Permit must be comqleted and apqropriate fees paid The storaqe of vehicles is for convenience for the users of the Auburn Airqort and is month-to-month. Base Parkins� Fee.—Tie_Down Area Spaces A base fee of $100 per month is charQed for_ use of vacant tie down area sqaces for line controlled hobbv aiccraft. A desiQnated area will be determined bv the Airt�ort Manaqer and a Merriorandum of Understandin4 will be completed and siqned bv authorized individuals. This is a monthlv fee chacQed from time to time for hobbv club use. � 35. Additional Airport Fees Aeronautical Business License (inc/udes listing of your business on $250.00 airport signs and airport webpage.) Hanger Waitlist Fee (this is a fee and is non refundab/e or applicab/e to $50.00 rent:) Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to implement such administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. �Section 3.
