EROSION CONTROL NOTES:
NOTE: REFER TO GENERAL PLAN REQUIREMENTS. (DCS 9.00)
1. WITHIN THE CIY OF AUBURN, ALL REQUIRED SEDIMENTATION AND EROSION CONTROL FACITLTIES INDICATED ON
THE PLANS MUST BE CONSTRUCTIED AND IN OPERATION, PRIOR TO LAND CLEARING AND/OR OTHER CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITIES. THESE FACILITIES SHALL BE MAINTAINED, AND UPGRADED IF NECESSARY, TO INSURE THAT SEDIMENT -LADEN
WATER AND STORM DRAINAGE RUNOFF DOES NOT IMPACT THE ADJACENT PROPERTIES, NATURAL DRAINAGE WAYS, OR
THE EXISTING CITY STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
2. THE EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION CONTROL SYSTEMS DEPICTED ON THIS DRAWING ARE INTENDED TO BE MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS TO MEET ANTICIPATED SITE CONDITIONS. AS CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES AND UNEXPECTED OR
SEASONAL CONDITIONS DICTATE, THE PERMITTEE SHALL ANTICIPATE THAT MORE EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION
CONTROL FACILITIES WILL BE NECESSARY TO INSURE COMPLETE SILTATION CONTROL ON THE PROPOSED SITE.
DURING THE COURSE OF CONSTRUCTION, IT SHALL BE THE OBLIGATION AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERMITTEE
TO ADDRESS ANY NEW CONDITIONS THAT MAY BE CREATED BY HIS ACTIVITIES AND TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL
FACILITIES, OVER AND ABOVE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, AS MAY BE NEEDED TO PROTECT ADJACENT PROPERTIES
AND WATER QUALITY OF THE RECEIVING DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
3. THE TEMPORARY EROSION CONTROL FACITLITES, INCLUDING ALL PERIMETER CONTROLS SHALL REMAIN IN PLACE
UNTIL FINAL SITE CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED AND APPROVAL FOR THEIR REMOVAL HAS BEEN RECEIVED
FROM THE CITY.
4. THE CONTRACTOR WILL BE REQUIRED TO WATER THE SITE, AS NECESSARY, TO REDUCE DUST EMISSIONS AS A
RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ALSO SWEEP ALL AFFECTED PUBLIC ROADS,
AS NECESSARY, TO REMOVE MUD DEPOSITED AS A RESULT OF PROJECT CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY.
5. ALL AREAS OF ACTIVE EARTHWORK WHICH HAVE THE POTENTIAL FOR EROSION AND SEDIMENTATION IMPACTS
ON ADJACENT PROPERTIES, NATURAL DRAINAGE WAYS, OR THE EXISTING CITY STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM
MUST BE STABILIZED ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE:
FROM APRIL 1 TO SEPTEMBER 30, AREAS AT FINAL GRADE AND THOSE THAT ARE SCHEDULED TO
REMAIN UNWORKED FOR MORE THAN THIRTY DAYS SHALL BE STABILIZED WITHIN TEN DAYS.
FROM OCTOBER 1 TO MARCH 31, EARTHWORK ACTIVITES SHALL BE CONDUCTED IN STAGES IN ORDER TO
MINIMIZE SOIL EXPOSURE. EXPOSED SOILS WITH AN AREA GREATER THAN 5000 SQUARE FEET THAT ARE
SCHEDULED TO REMAIN UNWORKED FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS AND EXPOSED AREAS OF LESS THAN
5000 SQUARE FEET THAT WILL REMAIN UNWORKED FOR MORE THAN SEVEN DAYS SHALL BE STABILIZED
IMMEDIATELY.
6. REPAVE UTILITY EXCAVATION TRENCHES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AFTER UTILITY PIPING IS INSTALLED AND
APPROVED FOR COVER.
7. PROVIDE SWEEPER TO MAINTAIN CLEAN PAVED SITE AS DIRECTED BY THE CITY OF AUBURN.
