III. Public Utility Project
Council member Rich Wagner distributed a handout of a water tower built and had the
exterior painted in Francis Court in South Auburn. Councilmember Wagner described the
process of how the exterior design was agreed upon and the involvement between the
neighborhood and the Public Works Committee. With this large scale water tower in the
middle of a residential neighborhood, part of the goal was to lessen the visual impact. The
exterior painting of the 80' water tower was completed by a contractor of a template design
of trees with the neighborhood residents having input on variations of the design.
