CONTRACT FOR PERFORMANCE

This Contract between the City of Auburn ( City ) and Auntie Gussie on
behalf of the The PAYO Dance Group ( "Artist ") is entered into this contract
on the 20th day of March , 2012.
Artist shall perform at the following venue(s) /location(s): On the Stage at Auburn's
International Festival in Plaza Park, across from City Hall on the following date(s)
and time(s): Saturday, August 11, 2012, between 11:30am- 12:OOpm , for a 30 min
duration. The City may designate specific performance sites within the venue.
Artist shall conduct the following performance: Traditional Filipino Cultural Dance.
Artist agrees to the following terms and conditions:
1. Artist shall not block pedestrian or vehicle traffic or any business entrance;
2. Artist acknowledges that she or he is performing for a family- oriented audience and
will refrain from the use of lewd or offensive conduct or language;
3. Artist is responsible to obtain all legal permissions and clearances related to the
performance.
4. Artist shall be compensated $50.00 (Amount) honorarium by the City for the
performance. * *Honorarium will be awarded on the day of performance August 11,
2012. Artist is allowed to passively solicit donations, by placement of an instrument case
or box, with a sign asking for donations. Artist may not actively solicit for donations, or
sell merchandise;
5. Artist shall not consume or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
6. Artist shall leave the performing area clean of any trash or debris at the end of the
performance;
7. Artist shall obtain all other required licenses and permits;
This Contract is non - transferable, and is subject to suspension or revocation by the City
at any time.
Artist releases, waives, and holds the City of Auburn and their officers, employees, and
agents harmless from all claims for any loss, damage, injury or expense, including loss of
income or theft that Artist may suffer as a result of any use of the permit area. This
waiver includes any claim for failure to provide any warnings, directions, instructions or
guidance for the use of the permit area. Artist agrees to hold the City and its officer,
employees, and agents harmless from any third -party claims related to my use of the
permit area. This release is binding on the Artists heirs, next -of -kin, or anyone acting on
behalf of the Artist or t ist's estate.
