HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-21-1994 CITY OF AUBURN COUNCIL COMMITTEE ON COMMITTEES MINUTES JLTNE 21, 1994 The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Workarea located in the Mayor's Office of Auburn City Hall. Those in attendance included Councilmember Burns, Councilmember Kurle, Conncilmember Brothers, Mayor Charles Booth, and City Clerk Robin Wohlhueter. Discussion centered around planning the framework to conduct a Council workshop. in assuring integration of the City's mission statement to be included as part of a vision statement and goals, Councilmembers encouraged Dr. Pendleton's attendance at the Workshop to discuss goal achievement, 1995 goals and objectives, and prepazation of a vision statement. It was noted that Dr. Pendleton's summary report of the Council Workshop held on June 4, 1944 is expected by Thursday, June 23rd. Including an update to the City's 1994 goals at the next the workshop was suggested in order to monitor the City's progress. The workshop format was discussed, and it was the consensus of the members of the Council Committee on Committees to spend a half hour on the 1994 City Wide Goals, an hour on developing a vision statement, two hours on goals and objectives for the 1995 year, and a half hour on a meeting summary. Councilmembers exchanged schedules to arrive at convenient date when a workshop could be scheduled. Wednesday, August 10, 1994 at 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. was aqreed among the members. Councilmember Rurle suqgested phone calls be made to Councilmembers not in attendance this evening to see if their sohedules would work for Wednesday,, August 10, 1994 at 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Additionally, Councilmember Kurla requested a call be made to Dr. Pendleton to check his availability on August i0th. Being no further business to discuss, the meeting was adjourned at 5:52 p.m. f:\clerk\council\councill.doc
