Did the City handle the Phase 1 design or was there an outside consultant used? The City created the actual design for Phase I consistent with the Storm Drainage Comprehensive Plan as developed by our Consultant 2. There is field evidence that 17th St SE was surveyed and would expect it was done for King County sewer project. Will the city be able to obtain the survey documents or base drawing from King County for your phase II work? The final, submitted plans from King County will be available for Consultant design reference; at this time, only paper copies have been submitted but an electronic, CAD version may be available for the selected Consultant for this project. 3. The RFP states construction for the sewer project will take place in 2013. Do you know King County’s actual construction schedule? Proposed start-up date? The City has not been advised of the actual King County construction schedule, however their plans have been approved. 4. Do you know King County’s funding source for their project? No. 5. Does the city have soil borings for the existing 17th and A Street pond? Can we obtain these or at least the construction plans for the pond? A geotechnical report has been submitted with the design plans from King County, however, due to the size of the documents and because they are in paper form, the plans and report will only be distributed to the selected Consultant. 6. What is the funding source for the Phase II improvements? City of Auburn monies only 7. Does the City have a contact with King County for their sewer project? Are we allowed to contact them? Contacts are not being made available at this time; prospective Consultants are encouraged to highlight relative project experience, design team qualifications, and processes in place to ensure accurate designs, quality control, and ability to manage sub-consultants and in-house staff in their proposals.
