the project area has had a history of surface flooding, particularly in the vicinity of c street ne at the
north end of the airport and easterly along 30th street ne. the existing underground stormwater pipe
within 30th street ne has a limited capacity to adequately convey storm water to the existing storm
pump station in brannan Park.
the purpose of the 30th street ne Flooding, Phase 1 project is to replace the existing stormwater pipe with a
larger 42 inch diameter pipe to collect and convey the storm water to the existing storm pump station in
brannan Park. the new pipe will be installed within 30th street ne just west of the auburn municipal airport to i
street ne, then down i street ne before continuing easterly within an existing public utility easement, and along
the north side of brannan Park to the existing pump station. Please see the map shown above.
