HomeMy WebLinkAbout5189RESOLUTION NO. 5 1 8 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DEDICATING PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF AUBURN FOR THE S. 277TH STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT AS RIGHT-OF-WAY WHEREAS, the City owns property located east of B Street NW and north of 50th Street NW and known by King County Tax Parcel Numbers 4297200120 and 4297200115; and WHEREAS, the property was purchased for the purpose of completing the public roadway improvements for the S. 277th Street Reconstruction Project; and WHEREAS, notwithstanding and/or in addition to the language of the deeds received from property owners the acquired property was acquired for and intended to be utilized as right of way for public street and utility purposes; and WHEREAS, the City Council approved Resolution No. 4336 in April of 2008 which determined a portion of the purchased property was no longer needed for municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, to clarify said intended public street and utility purposes, it is appropriate to specify the use by right-of-way dedications. Resolution No. 5189 November 30, 2015 Page 1 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, HEREBY RESOLVES as follows: Section 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute and record with the King County records this Resolution and/or any other documents dedicating properties acquired in connection with Project PR562, the S. 277`h Street Reconstruction Project, for right-of-way for public street and public utility purposes. For the purposes hereof, such dedication shall include the parcels described in Exhibits A and B, attached hereto and incorporated herein.. Section 2. Upon passage and approval of this Resolution, the Mayor is hereby authorized to record this resolution with King County. Section 3. That the Mayor is authorized to implement such other administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directives of this legislation. Section 4.
