connected with a carnival in excess of one sideshow or lawful game or public
amusement, five dollars per day; every theater, concert, show, exhibition or
other public amusement, except as hereinafter provided,.five dollars per day,
twenty dollars per month or fifty dollars for every three months; every motion
picture show giving any vaudeville performance, and every vaudeville show or
theater, fifty dollars per year; provided however, that if such shows, carnivals,
theaters, operas, concerts, exhibitions and other public amusements are held,
conducted or carried on within the city limits for the benefit of any church
or any fraternal organization within the city, or for any purely public benefit
or for the benefit of any school, it shall not be necessary to procure any
license therefore and such show, carnival, theater, opera, concert, exhibition
or other public amusement shall not be subjected to the tax levied under the
provisions of this chapter, provided further, that in the latter category, the
person or persons or organizations responsible for conducting such latter activities
shall register their notice of intent to conduct such latter activities for non
profit purposes with the Auburn City Clerk prior to conducting such latter
activities."
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.

I, Coralee A. McConnehey, the duly appointed, qualified City Clerk
of the City of Auburn, a Municipal Corporation and Code City, situate in
the County of King, State of Washington, do hereby certify that the fore-
going is a full, true and correct copy of Ordinance No. 3405 of the
ordinances of the City of Auburn, entitled "AN ORDINANCE
of the City of Auburn, Washington, amending Auburn Codified City Ordinance
5.36.020 (pertaining to licensing of carnivals, circuses and shows)
to include a requirement that non profit carnivals, circuses and shows
shall have to register with the Auburn City Clerk prior to operating
such activities.
I certify that said Ordinance No. 3405 was duly passed by the Council
and approved by the Mayor of the said City of Auburn, on the 4th day of
June A.D., 19 79.
I further certify that said Ordinance No. 3405 was published as provided
by law in the Daily Globe News, a daily newspaper published in the City of
Auburn, and 79 of general circulation therein, on the 8th day of June
A.D., 19 .
