and parcel of land or other property-.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE -;CITY COUNCIL-OF.THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON,
DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Western Avenue between West Main Street and a point
approximately 1300 feet North of West Main Street, inside the corporate limits
of the City of Auburn; be improved by the construction of an 8-inch sanitary
sewer and appurtenances, all in accordance with plans and specifications
prepared by the City Engineer and filed with the City Clerk.
Section 2. That there is hereby created and established a Local Improve-
ment District to be designated Local Improvement District No. 300, which said
district is described as follows:
Lunn's Garden Tracts to Auburn as recorded in Volume
10, page 33, records of King County, Washington.
Block "D".
Lots 11, West 112 Lots 12, 13, all Lots 14, 15, 16,
17, and 18.
Block "E".
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
Section 3. That the estimated cost in carrying out the foregoing improve-
ment is hereby declared to be as near as may be, the sum of $44,228.10.
Section 4. Applicable costs and expenses of all engineering, legal,
inspection, advertising, publication and notices, and all other expenses incident
thereto, shall be levied and assessed against all of the property legally and
properly assessable therefor, as provided by the laws of the State of Washington
and the Ordinances.of the City of Auburn, Washington.
Section 5. That said improvements shall be made by the City of Auburn
under the supervision of the City Council thereof or such committee or person
as the City Council may designate.

Section 6. Assessments or any portion thereof, may be paid at any time
within thirty (30) days from the date of the first publication of the Notice of
Collection of such assessments without penalty, interest, or cost, and thereafter
the sum remaining unpaid, if any, may be paid in ten (10) equal annual install-
ments, with interest on the whole unpaid sum at the rate of seven and one-half
percent (7.5%) per annum. Commencing with the first year after the last day,
such assessments, or any portion thereof, may be paid without penalty, interest
or cost (thirty (30) days from.the date of the first publication of the Treasurer's
Notice of Collect ion of Assessments) and each year thereafter one of said install-
ments, together with the interest'due; sha114,be collected as provided by law and
the Ordinances of the City of Auburn;.assessments or installments of assessments
not paid when due shall be delinquent and there shall be added to the same a
penalty of five percent (5%),of the amount of the overdue installments and interest,
and such penalty shall become a part.of the lien upon the property assessed.
Section 7. That there is hereby created in the office of the Finance
Director for the City of Auburn, a fund of the City to be known as "Local
Improvement District No..300 Fund". Warrants shall be drawn on said fund based
on estimates made by the City Engineer and approved by the City Council in pay-
ment of the cost of construction and installation of said improvements.
Section 8. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days
from and after its passage, approval.and publication, as provided by law.

I further certify that said Ordinance No. 3318 was duly passed by
the Council and approved by the Mayor of the said City of Auburn and
published as provided by law•in the Auburn Globe News, a weekly newspaper
published in the City of Auburn, and of general circulation therein, on
