HomeMy WebLinkAbout42831 ORDINANCE NO. 4 2 8 3 2 3 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING AUBURN CITY ORDINANCE NO. 4229, CODIFIED AS TITLE 18 ZONING, BY ADDING 4 NEW SUBSECTIONS TO CHAPTER 18.30 (USES REQUIRING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT) AND ADDING A NEW SECTION TO CHAPTER 18.48 (SUPPLEMENTAL DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS). 5 6 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: 7 Section 1. City of Auburn Ordinance No. 42.29, codified at Title 18 8 (Zoning), is hereby amended to add to 18.30.030 a new subsection "G" 9 Heliports, as a use requiring a conditional use permit in the C-3, Heavy 10 Commercial District. 11 Section 2. City of Auburn Ordinance No. 4229, codified at Title 18 12 (Zoning), is hereby amended to add the following new section to Chapter 18.48. 13 18.48.080 Heliports. 14 A. The following development standards shall apply to all heliports, 15 excluding those developed as part of the Auburn Airport. 16 1. Meet the Federal Aviation Administration (F.A.A.) requirements. 17 2. Meet the current National Fire Protection Agency 403 requirements. 18 3. Be consistent with the Auburn Airport requirements. 19 4. The size of the landing pad must he 12 times the size of the largest 20 helicopter to use the site. 21 5. The landing pad must be paved, and a source of water available to keep 22 the pad clean, additional fences and/or screens may also be required 23 to reduce any flying debris. 24 6. The location of the heliport shall be compatible with adjacent uses 25 and should be located away from schools, and populated areas to 26 include residential, commercial, industrial and other public use 27 areas. 28 7. Additional requirements may also be assessed with regard to fences, 29 hours of operation, lighting, setbacks or easements. 30 31 -------------------- Ordinance No. 4283 32 Page One 4/26/88 r i 1 Section 2. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement such administra- 2 tive procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this 3 legislation. 4 Section 3.
