REGISTRATION OF A MARK IN WASHINGTON STATE
Registration of a mark does not create property rights, it is use
of the mark which establishes that fact. The trademark filing
provides public notice that you believe you are the only person
("person" includes a corporation or partnership) who has a right
to use the mark in connection with those goods or services listed
on the application. However, the registration of a trademark is
helpful in providing proof of date of first use.
