AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AUBURN, WASHINGTON, AMENDING SECTION 2.36.030
OF THE AUBURN CITY CODE RELATING TO THE
NUMBER OF MEMBERS FOR THE AUBURN HUMAN
SERVICES COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Auburn Human Services Committee as established by Chapter 2.36 of
the Auburn City Code currently consists of seven authorized members; and
WHEREAS, the Human Services Committee reviewed its current composition of seven
members, and based upon the number of issues involved in its human services work, and the
need for more voices to participate in the evaluation of projects and funding priorities, concluded
that an increase to nine members would provide additional volunteer service opportunities for
individuals interested in addressing human service needs within the City of Auburn, and would
benefit fhe work of the Human Services Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN,
WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN as follows
Section 1. AMENDnAENT TO CITY CODE. That Section 2.36.030 of the City
Code be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.36.030 Appointment—Terms.
� There shall be c�����nine persons appointed to the city human services committee
antl said persons shall serve for staggered terms of five years; provided, that the term of
office for any committee members appointed or reappointed after December 1, 2004,
shall be three years from the date of appointment or reappointment. (Ord. 6549 § 1, 2015;

Section 2. IMPLEMENTATION. The Mayor is hereby authorized to implement
sueh administrative procedures as may be necessary to carry out the directions of this
legislation.

Section 3. SEVERABILITY. The provisions of this ordinance are declared to
be separate and severable. The invalidity of any clause, sentence, paragraph,
subdivision, section or portion of this ordinance, or the invalidity of the application thereof
to any person or circumstance shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this
, ordinance, or the validity of its application to other persons or circumstances.
Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinanee shall take effect and be in force
five days from and after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
