HomeMy WebLinkAbout1227O RDI NA NCE NO. j AN ORDINANCE, OF THE CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING THE UNIFORI�I BUILD- ING CODE, 1958 EDITION, VOLUI,M- 11 FIRST PRINTING BY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BUILDING OFFICIALS, i TECH BUILDING CODE PROVIDES FOR TIDE REGULATION OF THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, AND OCCUPANCY OF BUILDINGS AND OTHER STRUCTURES IN TIM CITY OF AUBURN, AND PROVIDES FOR THE ISSUANCE, OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES AND FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE SECTIONS OF SAID UNIFORM[ BUILDING CODE, AND ADOPTING TI -16 SAFE BY REFERENCE, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1054, WHICH IS AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE UNIFOI,dl BUILDING CODE INCLUD- ING THE APPENDIX 1952 EDITION, PUBLISHED 1952, BY THE, PACIFIC COAST BUILDING OFFICIALS CONFERENCE, AND PROVIDES FOR THE ADOPTION OF THE SEATTLE ORDINANCE REGULATING PLUMBING INSTALLATIONS, AND PROVIDES FOR ELECTRICAL VVIRING CODE, AND PROVIDES FOR INSTALLATION AND REPAIRING OF GAS PIPING SYSTEMS, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1103 WHICH IS AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENTS TO ORDINANCE NO. 1054. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE, CITY OF AUBURN, WASHINGTON., AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That that certain printed edition being marked and desi- Siat'ed a�s Uniform Building Code, 1958 Edition, Volume 1, First Printing, Published by International Conference of Building Officials be and the same is hereby adopted in it entirety as a building code of the City of Auburn by reference thereto as if set out fully herein; said building code is for the purpose of regulating the erection, construction, alteration, repair, moving, removal and occupancy of buildings and other structures in the City of Auburn, and provides for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, and provides for the penalties for the violation of this Ordinance, and adopting each and all of the regulations,. provisions, penalties, con- ditions,, and terms of said Uniform Building Code on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and declaring and establishing fire districts and building districts set out in said Uniform Building Code. That three copies of the Uniform Building Code edition are on file in the Office of the City Clerk .of the City of Auburn and shall be made available at all times to the public Section 2. This ordinance shall become effective five (5) days from and after its Passage, approval and publication, as provided by lain.
