I am the senior auditor working with Caleb on the audit engagement of Springbrook. I understand where you are coming from – my apologies for not having a more thorough explanation in our request – you can’t be too careful in this day and age! This confirmation we are asking for your response/signature is just a verification of the balance outstanding as of 12/31/2020 to Grant Thornton (the auditor). Springbrook’s CFO, Jared Hale, has authorized your reply to us – evidenced by his signature on the confirmation; however, I’ve also cc’d someone from the Company that hopefully can get further verification for you. This is not a legal document or a request for payment – but feel free to have your legal team review if necessary. Having a third party verify the balance due to Springbrook helps us gain sufficient audit evidence over their accounts receivable balance. Once and if you are comfortable, you can very informally sign the confirm with an electronic signature through whichever pdf reader you have or you can even just type in your name. Let me know if you have any further concerns. @Bobbi Brosig can you please have Springbrook’s account representative confirm the legitimacy of our confirmation request? Thank You!
