All workmanship and materials shall confirm to the City of Auburn's requirements and specifications. 2. Standard Specifications shall be 1981 APWA as modified by the City of Auburn. 3. A copy of these approved plans shall be on -site during construction. 4. Prior to starting construction, the Contractor shall call ONE -CALL (1-800-424-5555) for utility locations (water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, gas, power, telephone and television). 5. During construction, contractor shall be required to control on -site storm water run off by using temporary erosion/siltation control procedures. No sediment laden storm water shall be allowed toidis- charge into the City of Auburn's storm drainage system. 6. Locations of existing utilities are approximate. It shall be the Contractor's responsibility to determine the true elevations and loc- ations so as to avoid damage or disturbance during construction. 7. Six-inch extruded curb or parking bumpers shall be required around all on -site paving areas, where parking will be adjacent to a street. A six-inch extruded curb is required between all abutting pavement and landscaped areas. 8. All downspouts shall be directed into the storm drainage system. 9. All connections of SIR 35 PVC pipe to manholes shall be made by using A.C. manhole adaptors, or approved equal. 10. All connections of SDR 21 PVC pipe to manholes and catch basins shall be made by using CL 150 AC coupling with ring tire X IPS transition gaskets, or approved equal. 11. The maximum laying lengths shall not exceed 20 feet for SDR 21 pipe and 12 feet 6 inches long for SDR 35 pipe. 12. Bedding for PVC pipe shall be 5/8 inch minus crushed rock, 4 inches under to 6 inches over the pipe. 13. Bedding for concrete and ductile iron pipe shall be 5/8 inch minus crushed rock, 6 inches under to 6 inches over the pipe. 14. All pipe trench backfill material shall be Class "A" Bank Run Gravel. 15. Pipe Trench Backfill Material within the right-of-way shall be 5/8 inch minus crushed rock. 16. Existing pavement surfaces shall be sawcut full depth with straight, uniform edges. All joints between the new and original pavement shall be painted with asphalt emulsion (CSS-1). 17. Street curbs shall be painted with formula WID-YI (yellow), 5 feet from each side of all driveways and 15 feet each side of all fire hydrants. 18. All required landscaping shall conform with City of Auburn Zoning Ordinance, Section No. 18.56. 19. The Contractor shall install, replace, or relocate all signs, as shown on the plans or as affected by construction, per the City's Standard Detail. 20. Electric and telephone lines shall be in a trench with a minimum horizontal separation from other utilities (sewer, water, storm) of five feet. 21. All construction surveying for extensions of City utilities shall be done under the direction of a licensed land surveyor or a licensed professional Civil Engineer. 22. PVC pipe shall be SDR 21 with 18 inches minimum cover shall be SDR 36 inches minimum cover. 23. Sawcut paving 12 inches beyond excavation or where curb is removed. Backfill 100% with 5/8" crushed rock. Replace paving to match existing.
