BETWEEN THE CITY OF AUBURN AND VALLEY REGIONAL FIRE AUTHORITY
FOR FIRE STATION #35.
THIS AMENDMENT is made and entered into this `" ` day of
2017, by and between the CITY OF AUBURN, a municipal corporation of the State of
Washington (hereinafter referred to as the "CITY"), and Valley Regional Fire Authority
(hereinafter referred to as "VRFA"), as an addendum to the Lease Agreement between the
parties for a portion of City owned property located at 2905 C Street SW, Auburn, WA 98001,
commonly referred to as the "GSA Building", executed on the 18th day of August, 2008 and
approved by Resolution 4391.
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, On August 18, 2008, the City and the VRFA entered into a Lease
Agreement concerning the GSA building; and
WHEREAS, On February 8th, 2012 an Amendment was made to the Lease whereas
among other things; the Station number was changed from #33 to #35; and
WHEREAS, Also included as part of the First Amendment, the "Fire Station" was
expanded to include all of those portions of the GSA Building with the exception of the western
most Warehouse portion, consisting of 4,470 square feet, the Maintenance Shop portion,
consisting of 2,110 square feet, and the three Vehicle Bays in the southwest portion of the
building consisting of 414, 398 and 522 square feet.
NOW THEREFORE, The City and VRFA, together referred to as "Parties" mutually
agree to the following:
VRFA for the consideration given to the CITY of added benefit derived from specialized local
training and protection to the Citizens of Auburn shall have access and use of the 4,470 square
feet making up the western most portion of the Warehouse, 2,110 square feet making up the
Maintenance Shop, and the three Vehicle Bays in the southwest portion of the building
consisting of 414, 398 & 522 square feet for up to four (4) days per calendar year for the
purposes of IFSAC Fire Investigator Certification exams. VRFA shall provide the CITY with
either written or electronic (email) notification no less than 30 calendar days prior to desired use
dates, which the CITY shall not unreasonably deny. VRFA shall promptly return any displaced
items or repair any damage caused from and during the exam periods at their sole cost and
expense.
All other provisions in the Agreement and any previous amendments shall remain in full
force and effect.
