MINUTES
I. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Jim Kelly called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. via our Zoom
videoconferencing call.
Members present on the Zoom call included Chair Pro Tern Bill Petersen, Member
Stan Laatsch, and Member Bob Baggett. Also present was Sr. City Attorney Doug
Ruth and Board Secretary Terry Mendoza.
Member Chris Stearns was excused.
II. AGENDA MODIFICATIONS
Claim for LEOFF Member#221843 was added under Item V.B.3.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
A. Minutes of the January 4, 2022, LEOFF Board Meeting*
Motion by Member Baggett to approve the minutes as published. Second by
Chair Pro Tern Petersen.
MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. 4-0
IV. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
A. Pending Medical/Hearing/Vision/Dental Claims
There were no pending claims from previous meetings.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Appeals/Requests for Reconsideration
No appeal/request for reconsideration has been received.

2. Policy Review
Chair Kelly advised this is a policy review year and the Board will take
the next several months to review and discuss options and potential
updates/changes to policy
Board has requested Secretary Mendoza provide an analysis on
current costs for services against what is currently listed in policy for
the following sections: 8.02.D.4., 8.02.D.7, 8.03.C, 9.01.M, 9.01.N,
9.02.B.1, 9.02.B.2, 9.02.B.3, and 9.02.C. To be provided and
discussed at a future meeting.
Board inquired with Sr. City Attorney Ruth regarding the potential of
changing language to adjust for a cost-of-living allowance instead of
listing a specific dollar amount for the sections referenced above. To
be discussed at a future meeting.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was
adjourned at 10:16 a.m.
