I, All workmanship and materials shall conform to the City of
Auburn's requirements and specifications.
2. Stardard Specifications shall be 1981 APWA as modified by the
City of Auburn.
A copy of these approved plans shall be on -alto during
construction.
4. Prior to str,ting construction, the Contractor shall call
ONE -CALL (1-800-424-5555) for utility locations (water,
sanitary sews- storm sewer, gas, power, telephone, and
television).
5. During construction, conic^ctor shall be required to control
on -site storm water runoff by u3;�g temporary
erosion/siltation control procedures, No .:_•'!ment laden
storm water shall be allowed to discharge Into the City
Auburn's storm drainage system or onto adjacent properties.
6. All connections of SDR 35 PVC pipe to manholes shall be made
by using A.C, or GPK manhole adaptors, or approved equal.
7. The maximum laying lengths shall not exceed 12 feet 6 Inches
for SOR 35 pipe.
B. Bedding for PVC pipe shall be 5/8 inch minus crushed rock 4
Inches under to 6 Inches minimum over pipe.
9. Bedding for concrete and ductile iron pipe shall be 5/8 Inch
minus crushed rock, 6 Inches under to 6 Inches minimum over
the pipe.
10, All pipe trench backf:ll material shall Be Class "A' Bank Run
Gravel, modified by the City of Auburn.
11, Pipe Trench Backfill Material within the right-of-way shall
be 5/8 Inch minus crushed rack,
12. During construction all City streets adjacent to this project
shall be kept clean of all material deposits resulting from
on -site construction, as directed by the City.
13. Locations of existing utllltles are approximate. It shall be
the Contractor's responsibility to determine the true
elevations and locations so as to avoid damage or disturbance
during construction.
14. Six -Inch extruded curb or parking bumpers shall be required
around all on -site paving areas, where parking will be
adjacent to a street. A six -Inch extruded curb Is required
between all abutting pavement and landscaped areas.
15. Tightline all downspouts and floor drains to catch basins
with 4' di motor PVC S = .005 TYP.
16. Existing pavement surfaces shall be sawcut full depth with
straight, uniform edges. All joints between the new and
original pavement shall be painted with asphalt emulsion
(CSS-1).
17. Street curbs shall be painted with formula WID-YI (yellow), 5
Qfeet from each side of all driveways and 15 feet from each
side of all fire hydrants,

19, The Contractor shall Install, replace, or relocate all signs,
as shown on the plans or as affected by construction, per the
City's Standard Detail.
20, Electric and telephone lines shall be In a trench with a
minimum horizontal separation from other utilities (sewer,
water, storm) of five feet.
21. Ail construction surveying for extensions of City Utilities
shall be done under the direction of a licensed land surveyor
or a licensed professional Civil Engineer,
22. PVC pipe shall be SDR 35 with 24 inches minimum cover.
23. Sawcat paving 12 inches beyond excavation or where curb Is
removed. Backfill 100% with 5/8" crushed rock. Replace
paving to match r.xisting.
