SANITARY SEWER NOTES
1. ALL WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS SHALL CONFORM TO THE CITY
OF AUBURN'S REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFICATION.
2. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS SHALL BE 1981 APWA AS MODIFIED
BY THE CITY OF AUBURN.
3. A COPY OF THESE APPROVED PLANS SHALL BE ON SITE DURING
CONSTRUCTION.
4. PRIOR TO STARTING CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL
CALL ONE CALL (1-800-424-5555) FOR UTILITY LOCATIONS
(WATER, SANITARY SEWER, GAS, POWER, TELEPHONE AND
TELEVISION).
5. LOCATIONS OF EXISTING UTILITIES ARE APPROXIMATE. IT
SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE
THE TRUE ELEVATIONS AND LOCATIONS SO AS TO AVOID DAMAGE
385 OR DISTURBANCE DURING CONSTRUCTION.
6. EXISTING PAVEMENT SURFACES SHALL BE SAWCUT FULL DEPTH
WITH STRAIGHT, UNIFORM EDGES- ALL JOINTS BETWEEN THE
NEW AND ORIGINAL PAVEMENT SURFACES SHALL BE PAINTED
WITH ASPHALT EMULSION (CSS-1).
7. ELECTRIC AND TELEPHONE LINES SHALL BE IN A TRENCH WITH
A MINIMUM HORIZONTAL SEPARATION FROM OTHER UTILITIES
(SEWER WATER, STORM) OF 5 FEET-
B. ALL CONSTRUCTION SURVEYING FOR EXTENSIONS OF PUBLIC
FACILITIES SHALL BE DONE UNDER THE DIRECTION OF A
LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR OR A LICENSED PROFESSIONAL CIVIL
ENGINEER.
9. DURING CONSTRUCTION, ALL PUBLIC STREETS ADJACENT TO
THIS PROJECT SHALL BE KEPT CLEAN OF ALL MATERIAL
DEPOSITS RESULTING FROM ON -SITE CONSTRUCTION, AS
DIRECTED BY THE CITY.
10. SEWER LINES SHALL BE LAID TO THE GRADES AND ELEVATIONS
SHOWN ON THE DRAWINGS.
11_ SIDE SEWER SHALL BE INSTALLED FROM THE CITY SEWER MAIN
380 A MINIMUM 6" IN DIAMETER WITH A 1% MINIMUM SLOPE
12. SIDE SEWERS SHALL BE INSTALLED, WHERE REQUIRED BY THE
ENGINEER, USING COMMERCIALLY MANUFACTURED TEES AND
SHALL BE PLUGGED WITH WATERTIGHT PLUG. ALL JOINTS
SHALL BE APPROVED RUBBER GASKETED JOINTS. (THE
LOCATION OF THE SIDE SEWERS SHALL BE MARKED AT THE END
OF THE LINE INSIDE PROPERTY BY A PRESSURE TREATED 2X4,
FOUR FEET LONG BURIED IN THE GROUND A DISTANCE OF 3
FEET. THE LOWER END SHALL HAVE A 2X4 CLEAT NAILED TO

EROSION/SEDIMENTATION CONTROL NOTES
1. Approval of this erosion sedimentation control (ESC) plan
does not constitute an approval of permanent road or drainage
design (e.g. size and location of roads, pipet, restrictors,
channels, retention facilities, utilities, etc).
2. The implementation of these ESC plans and the construction,
maintenance, replacement, and upgrading of these ESC facilities
is the responsibility of the permit tee/contractor until all
construction is approved
3. The boundaries of the clearing limits shown on this plan
shall be clearly flagged in the field prior to construction.
During the construction period, no disturbance beyond the flogged
clearing limits shall be permitted. The flagging shall be
maintained by the permittee/contractor for the duration of
construction.
4. The ESC facilities shown on this plan must be constructed in
conjunction with all clearing and grading a,_livities, and in such
a manner as to insure sed,m erl laden water does not enter the
drainage system or violate if ;_ it le water standards (KCC
9.04 020 AA, KCRS 7.09 D).
5 The ESC facilities shown on this plan are the minimum
requirements for anticipated site condition. During the
construction period, these ESC facilities shall be upgraded (eg
additional sumps, relocation of ditches and silt fences, etc) as
needed for unexpected storm events (KCC 9 04 09C B2)
6. The ESC facilities shall be inspected daily by the
permiltee/contractor and maintained as necessary to ensure their
continued functioning (KCC 9 04 090 62)
7 Any area stripped of vegetation, 1-2 ;ding roadway
embankments, where no further work Is ontiUFnted for a period of
15 days, shall be immediately stabilized with the approved ESC
methods (e 9 seeding, mulching, netting, erosion blonke's, etc )

8 Any area needing ESC measure, not requiring immediate
attention, shall be addressed within fifteen (15) days
9. The ESC facilities on inocti.e sites shall be inspected and
maintained a mirdmum of once a month or within the 48 hours
