GENERAL CONSTRUCTION NOTES FOR GRADING, DRAINAGE AND EROSION CONTROL
1. Within the City of Auburn, all required detention, atom drainage conveyance, sedimentation and erosion
control facilities must be constructed and in operation, prior to land clearing and/or other construction
activities, to Insure that sediment -laden water and atom drainage run-off does not Impact the adjacent
proplrties or the natural drainage ways.
2. The detention, drainage, sedimentation and erosion control facilities depleted on this drawing ore
Intended to be the minimum requirements to meet anticipated alto conditions. Additional drainage and
erosion control facilities may be required as situations warrant during construction. The
Implementation, maintenance, replacement and additions to these control systems shall be the
responsibility of the permitter.
3. The detention control pond shall remain in place until the permonent atom system is in place and
operational.
4. The temporary erosion control facilities, including all perimeter controls shall remain In place until final
alto construction is completed and approval has been received from the City.
5. On projects with grading permits only, and for which no subsequent Building permit has been Issued,
an de -built drawing will be required Upon completion of grading activities.
SITE SPECIFIC SEPA REQUIREMENTS
1. Denuded areas and soil stockpiles must be stabilized according to the following schedule, as required
by the building official:
From April i to October 31, all denuded areas at final grade and all Exposed Croce that are scheduled
to remain unworked for more than 30 Days shall be stabilized within 10 days.
1. From November 1 to March 31 all exposed solls at final grade Shag be stabilized Immediately using
permanent or temporary measures. Exposed soils with an area greater than 5,000 square feet that
are scheduled to remain unworked for more than 24 hours and exposed areas. Leas than 5,D00 square
feet that will remain unworked for more 7 days Shall be stabilized Immediately.
From April 1 to October 31 all denuded areas at final grade and all exposed areas that are
scheduled to remain unworked for more than 30 days shall be stabilized within 10 days.
2. The contractor will be required to water the site as necessary to reduce dust emissions as a result
of construction activity. The Contractor shall also sweep all affected public roads, as necessary to
remove mud deposited as a result of project construction activity.
DEMOLITION NOTES:
1. PRIOR TO ISSUANCE OF A DEMOLITION PERMIT, THE CONTRACTOR MUST IDENTIFY
THE DISPOSAL SITE FOR ANY DEMOLITION MATERIAL TO INSURE PROPER DISPOSAL OF
WASTE.
2. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL REVIEW ASBESTOS REPORT AND/OR OBTAIN FROM OWNER,
ANY ASBESTOS REPORT INFORMATION ON THIS SITE. ANY ASBESTOS CONTAINING
MATERIAL MUST BE REMOVED BY CERTIFIED PERSONNEL.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE REQUIRED TO WATER THE SITE AS NECESSARY TO
REDUCE DUST EMISSIONS, ALL PUBLIC ROADWAYS SHALL BE SWEPT AND KEPT CLEAR
OF MUD, DIRT AND OTHER DEBRIS AS A RESULT OF SITE WORK.
4, BACKFILL AND COMPACT ALL TANK, VAULT AND/OR CRAWL SPACE VOIDS PER
SOILS ENGINEER RECOMMENDATIONS.
CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE
1. Schedule and attend preconstruction meeting with City of Auburn Officials.
2. Construct temporary construction entrance and new driveway approach.
3. Flog clearing and grading limits as shown on the plans.
4. Install temporary filter fabric fence around site as shown.
5. Place filter fabric under CB grates as shown on the plans.
6. Construct temporary ESC pond as shown on the pions.
7. Construct shallow Interceptor awales with rlprap checkdoms to drain to ESC pond
as shown.
S. Remove existing structures from site.
9. Clear and grade site to contours as shown, maintain and adjust ESC measures as
required.
10. Install alto utilities, Including water, sewer and storm drainage improvements per
the approved plans.
11. Maintain all ESC controls throughout site grading operations, Install addition
control measures as
may be required during excavation.
12. Install filter fabric under new catch basin grates.
13. Complete site grading and direct runoff to drainage system.
14. Complete site grading, building construction and final grading of parking areas.
15. Pave parking lots and clean drainage system and catch basins as required.
16. Hydroseed or otherwise landscape and stabilize all exposed surfaces.
17. Remove TESC facilities upon final alto stabilization and approval from the City of
Auburn Officials.
