HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-08-2024 Notice of Public Hearing - ZOA24-0001 Title 14 Text Amendment NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TEXT AMENDMENT TO TITLE 14 and CHAPTERS 17.01, 18.59, and 18.76 ZOA24-0001 The City of Auburn is issuing a Notice of Public Hearing for the following described project. The project application may be reviewed at the Auburn Department of Community Development at 1 E Main St., 2nd Floor, Customer Service Center, Auburn, WA 98001. Proposal: On April 10th, 2023, the State legislature adopted Senate Bill 5290. This bill updated portions of RCW 36.70B. Since the house bill amends RCW 36.70B, which serves as the regulatory basis of Title 14 "Project Review". The City is proposing to amend Title 14 "Project Review" and minor changes to Chapters 17.01 “User Guide”, 18.59 “Development Standards For Marijuana Related Businesses”, and 18.76 “Planned Unit Development District (PUD) – Lakeland Hills South”, for local project review regulations to be consistent. Updates and amendments are intended to consolidate, streamline and further improve local permit review processes for improved outcomes for applicants, customers, planners, builders and designers.
