Call to Order – Vice Chair Tori Olsen called the meeting to order at
4:34P M.

This meeting was attended in-person and virtually.

A .2023-24 Sculpture Gallery P urchase Award
A t the A ugust 6, 2024 A rts Commission, Commissioners voted to
purchase the sculpture titled "Fire & I ce I I " by L in Mc J unkin and Milo W hite
from the Downtown S culpture Gallery program for $10,000. However, it
was discovered shortly thereafter that additional important and relevant
information needed to be presented to the Commission to make a final and
fully informed decision prior to proceeding with a purchase.
This special meeting on August 12, 2024 was aimed at bringing new
information regarding long-term maintenance and structural integrity
concerns to the A rts Commission, and to consider voting again for the
P urchase Award in light of this new information.

The A rts Commission discussed the purchase options again, and selected
the sculpture "S ilver Song" by Chuck F itzgerald for $8,000 as the
P urchase Award for 2024. Commissioner DeL eon motions to approve this
sculpture purchase, Commissioner Mayfield seconds. Motion passed.
