A .A pproval of Minutes
Commissioners are asked to review minutes for the past three meetings.
Commissioner Harris moved that the J une 4, 2024 minutes be accepted
as written. Commissioner L ott seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
Commissioner Harris moved that the A ugust 6, 2024 minutes be accepted
as written. Commissioner S metheram seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
Commissioner L ott moved that the August 12, 2024 special meeting
minutes be accepted as written. Commissioner S alvador seconded the

B .2025 Gallery E xhibitions
A rts P rogram Supervisor Hyde presented the 2025 recommendations for
gallery exhibitions, with 94 total applications received, with five
recommended art exhibitions for the Cheryl S allee gallery and six at the
Community Center Gallery in 2025, and a number of additional alternates.
S elected artists include: Gabriela Nirino, A nthony J ackson, Hae Chon L ee,
Rachel Barnes, Weston L ambert, J iashun Zhou, S haron Gottula, W illiam
Dubocq, S tephanie Ostmann, Ari Hoskinson, and Miles J ordan.
Hyde thanked the jurors who participated in selecting the artists who will be
invited to exhibit their artwork in two City Galleries; due to the number of
applications needing to be reviewed this year, it was discussed that an entry
fee be applied to next year's galleries application process. Hyde informed
the A rts Commission of the various factors that go into the decision-making
process in the gallery spaces, including artist availability, season, and
audience.”
Commissioner Harris moved to approve the suggestions for the 2025 A rt
Galleries. Commissioner Salvador seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
C.2025 Site-Specific Gallery Exhibitions
A rts P rogram Supervisor Hyde presented the S ite-S pecific galleries
application recommendations for 2025. Hyde explained the jury process
and thanked the jurors who participated in selecting the artists who will be
invited to install their artwork in the Art on Main window front gallery and
P ostmark's Vault Gallery.
The City received 32 total applications for the S ite-S pecific Galleries in
2025. The artist applications with the highest scores from the jury were
presented to the Commission for their consideration and approval,
including four exhibitions in the A rt on Main Gallery and three for the Vault
Gallery in 2025, with a number of additional alternates. S elected artists
include: S arah L ovett, S arah F etterman, L auren B oilini, Nikita
Mehta, Amanda J enkinson, Roldy Aguero A blao, and Rachel Barnes.
Hyde informed the A rts Commission of the various factors that go into the
decision-making process in these gallery spaces, including artist availability,
season, and audience, but also the various viewing conditions of each
unique art space.
Commissioner Salvador moved to approve the suggestions for the 2025
S ite-S pecific Galleries. Commissioner Harris seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously.
V.D IS C US S I O N AND I NF O RM AT IO N
A llison Hyde presented the recently awarded merit award from the

A merican institute of A rchitects. Hyde updates commissioners on
upcoming events and new P ostmark exhibition ...A Familiar Taste.
Commissioners are also given a brief update on the progress of the
P ostmark lower level construction. The resignation of Commissioner Tracy
Gallaway was also announced.
Commissioners were asked if they would like to participate on the Mary
Olson Farm call for artists jury. Commissioner Salvador,
Commissioner Smetheram, and Commissioner Olson expressed interest.
Commissioner Smetheram announced the Auburn School District
performing arts schedule for October.
